October 29th Rate Adjustment
Due to the changes to jump mechanics (11% reduced jump range and the implementation of jump fatigue) and the removal of fast travel for cyno alts via pod express with the launch of Phoebe we feel the need to adjust our pricing in order to continue to provide the same level of service that our customers have come to expect from us over the years.
We realize that it may no longer be profitable for some of our clients to continue to use our service as they have in the past. For some this may mean reducing the frequency of their contracts or only shipping items that are impossible to purchase locally. For others it may mean looking for alternatives to meet their logistics needs.
Whatever happens post Phoebe and beyond, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your patronage and for helping to make Black Frog what it is today.
Lyn Fel CEO Black Frog Logistics
Notes:
Contracts in the queue prior to October 29th will be completed at the previous rate as long as they were set up correctly.
Please use our Trip Calculator to calculate the required reward when setting up your contracts. |

A few months ago, due to the pending changes to jump travel and pod express, Black Frog Logistics implemented the largest price increase in its history. At that time we said we would watch how things unfold for a few months and revisit the decision. That time has now come.
We have come to the conclusion that the changes to Eve did not negatively impact hauling quite as bad as we thought it might have. Therefore we will be implementing our first ever price decrease of 20% off of our current base rate (pricing for extra jumps and additional collateral remain unchanged).
We hope that this will come as welcome news to our customers who have stuck with us over the years and possibly even encourage a few new (and possibly old) customers to take advantage of our services going forward as well.
Thank you for your time,

We aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
We will never be able to compete with an internal alliance freight service because unlike those we service half of New Eden. They can combine multiple small contracts into one trip because they are all going to the same place. It is extremely rare that we are that fortunate. We move normally one contract at a time which is why we charge per trip.
Our lowesec service still starts at 100m to move up to 320k m3, additional fees for longer distances and extra collateral of course. We feel that this is a fair starting price for the service we provide. It does require a 7b isk ship, a highly trained pilot, at least two accounts to provide the cyno, plus you have to subtract the cost of fuel, cynos, liquid ozone, etc. Not to mention the fact that we assume all risk, via collateral, to of any loss due to ganking or otherwise.
Aside from the addition of fatigue and 11% reduced jump range another difficulty we now face is relocating cynos post Phoebe. Since we do go all over the galaxy rather than back and forth between two places we are constantly moving cyno frigates 20-30 gates between jumps, sometimes more in nullsec. Prior to Phoebe we relied heavily on pod express to move around. This has forced us to exclusively use interceptors when traveling through nullsec which is an additional cost (since they do die sometimes) which is part of the reason why we charge more for nullsec. With our recent price change nullsec jobs are actually 50m less than they were immediately after the Phoebe came out.
Our SOV service brings with it additional challenges. Due to constant wardecs against us our pilots who service SOV are required to maintain 2 jump freighter pilots. One in Corp that can dock in SOV outposts and one out that can enter hisec.
In all of these cases we feel that our current prices are fair to both our customers and to our pilots.

Who do I contact? Because I'd like to speak in person, to know my stuff is safe. I'm talking about 10+ BS, 30 Crusiers, 100 frigs, etc....Who handles that sort of transport? Over 30B worth....easily. Not something I'd like to lose. Not going to trust in the hands of many, I can do it myself.....buy VERY...VERY....slowly.
We do that. You would have to split it into multiple contracts because you can't fit that many ships into one jump freighter even with them repackaged. But we accept collateral amounts up to 20b so protecting yourself from loss is no problem at all.
